Holding Out for a Hero
Cassie Grace loves the giddy whirl of life in Regency London’s Haute Ton. Unfortunately, she actually lives in a small town in 21st Century Georgia. She works for a law firm, not a barrister’s office, and her father is the preacher at First Baptist, not the village vicar. But Cassie feeds her dreams on Masterpiece Classics and romance novels as she waits for a hero in boots and breeches to sweep her off her feet.
When James Holwood, a rich Brit, arrives in town for a business venture, Cassie falls head-over-heels in love. James seems just as smitten with her, and Cassie is sure she’s found her Happily-Ever-After. But the loveliest roses can hide nasty thorns, and James breaks her heart in a way that sets the whole town talking.
Having lost her job, her home, and her faith in romance, Cassie sets out to rebuild her life with the help of a few trusted friends, including Atlanta policeman Mac McCaine. And when one of the law firm’s former clients escapes from prison and brutally attacks Cassie, she finds out that a real hero may show up when you least expect him.

Hook, Line, and Sinker
Emory Chandler was at the top of the world — a kick-ass lawyer, married to her rich and attractive law partner and living la vida loca in Miami Beach. Then her husband left her for another woman and just happened to clean out the client trust funds on his way to a Caribbean paradise. Before she knows it, she’s gone from top of the world to bottom of the barrel — alone, disbarred and bankrupt.
The only asset left to her name is part-ownership of an old-fashioned Southern fish camp, complete with earthworms, cane poles, and a very attractive blue-eyed co-owner named Gary. He’s a hunting, fishing, laissez-faire kind of guy — in whom Emory is most definitely not interested.
Against her will, Emory finds herself fitting into the fish camp community. She makes friends with Cassie McCaine, a local author, and joins a writing group. She helps out at the bait shack, becoming quite adept at counting worms and baiting hooks. And Gary is just so adorably flirtatious, Emory can’t quite remember why she didn’t want to get involved with him.
But can a big city, big shot lawyer find happiness on a fish camp in the middle of nowhere?

THE HISTORICALS
Series: Hot Times in the Haute Ton
Proof of Love new from Champagne Books!
After a scandal that titillated the ton, Lady Susan Lanier lost all faith in love. A logical, level-headed scholar like the Duke of Danesleigh didn’t believe in love to begin with. But a Duke needs a wife, and Susan fits the Duke’s scientific requirements to be the mother of his heirs.
Together, they must learn that some truths have to be discovered with the heart, and that love is the greatest experiment of all.
